Why this Feral Combat leveling route is a starting point

The generator fills Feral Combat with 50 points and places the final point in Restoration. It values melee damage, criticals and form-based sustain, and the route reaches Primal Bite and Shifting Power. It is a legal cat/melee starting allocation, not a dedicated bear-tanking plan.

  • Furor 5 and Feral Instinct 3 open the route; Sharpened Claws 2 gates Blood Frenzy.
  • Leader of the Pack 1 gates Primal Bite, and Predatory Strikes 3 gates Rend and Tear.
  • The last point goes to Nature’s Focus in Restoration; it is not required for Primal Bite or Shifting Power.

Each route is generated from the current snapshot by scoring legal next picks for damage, attack speed, resource flow and sustain, filling the primary tree first, then spending any remaining points in the other trees. Every point passes the same row-gate and prerequisite checks as the calculator. The result is a reproducible starting route, not a tier-list or simulation result.

Leveling route: levels 10–20 (points 1–11)

This opening band contains the first legal picks the deterministic scorer selects. Reordering within the same row is possible only when the resulting point sequence still satisfies every prerequisite.

Order Level Talent Ranks Effect
1 10 Furor 5/5 (5 pts) Gives you a 100% chance to gain 10 Rage when shapeshifting into Bear Form or Dire Bear Form. Shapeshifting into Cat Form restores 100% of the Energy you had when last in Cat Form, plus 10 Energy per second spent outside Bear Form or Dire Bear Form, up to 100 Energy.
6 15 Feral Instinct 3/3 (3 pts) Increases damage done by your Swipe ability by 30% and reduces the chance enemies have to detect you while Prowling as if you were 3 levels higher.
9 18 Ferocity 2/5 (2 pts) Reduces the cost of your Maul, Primal Bite, Swipe, Claw, and Rake abilities by 2 Rage or Energy.
11 20 Savage Fury 1/2 (1 pt) Increases the damage caused by your Claw, Rake, Shred, Maul, and Swipe abilities by 5%.

Leveling route: levels 20–40 (points 12–31)

When to deviate from this Druid leveling route

  • Use Balance for spell damage. Nature’s Majesty 2 gates Nature’s Splendor and Improved Moonfire 2 gates Vengeance.
  • Use Restoration for healing. Living Spirit 3 gates Wild Growth and Naturalist 5 gates Nature’s Swiftness.
  • A bear-tanking plan shares some Feral talents but has different priorities. Rebuild around mitigation, threat and Rage rather than copying the cat route.

After changing a point, verify the result in the calculator. Removing a prerequisite can invalidate every dependent talent, and the 51-point budget leaves no room for a free substitution without removing another point.

Druid leveling route FAQ

How is this Druid leveling route validated?

Every one of the 51 points is generated against snapshot snap-4c0dd5427276 and checked by the same rules engine as the calculator: the 51-point budget, row gates, direct prerequisites and maximum ranks all pass. The official v9_ Build Code and the site share link are both produced from that validated allocation.

When does Druid receive each talent point?

The first talent point arrives at level 10, and one more arrives per level through level 60. More than one point can be shown on a level row because every level grants a point; the table records both the point order and the character level.

When should I change this Feral Combat leveling route?

Use Balance for spell damage. Nature’s Majesty 2 gates Nature’s Splendor and Improved Moonfire 2 gates Vengeance. Use Restoration for healing. Living Spirit 3 gates Wild Growth and Naturalist 5 gates Nature’s Swiftness. A bear-tanking plan shares some Feral talents but has different priorities. Rebuild around mitigation, threat and Rage rather than copying the cat route. The route is a legal starting point, not a claim that it is the only useful allocation for every player.
