WoW Forever Paladin Leveling Build — Retribution 51 Points
A Retribution-first route with a seven-point Holy spillover. This is a deterministic, rules-validated starting route for levels 10–60; every point is tied to the current official snapshot. It is a starting allocation, not a universal ranking of paladin builds.

Leveling route split and official Build Code
Point split: 7 Holy + 44 Retribution. The official Build Code below
uses the game’s v9_ format and
preserves the official tree IDs and talent-array order. The site share
link uses the separate legacy-compatible #b= format.
v9_594.50002-184.55233321221321351 Why this Retribution leveling route is a starting point
The generator fills Retribution before the other trees, producing a 44-point Retribution core and spending the remaining seven points in Holy. The route reaches Seal of Command, Vengeance and Unsealed Wrath in Retribution, then adds Spiritual Focus and Improved Seals from Holy. It is a legal, reproducible starting route, not a verdict on healing or tanking.
- Benediction 5, Conviction 3 and Improved Judgement 2 form the opening damage/mana package.
- Seal of Command 1 gates Vengeance, and Repentance 1 gates Unsealed Wrath.
- Sacred Arbiter makes Holy Strike refresh Judgement effects; it is a different tool from Consecration, which is absent from this snapshot.
Each route is generated from the current snapshot by scoring legal next picks for damage, attack speed, resource flow and sustain, filling the primary tree first, then spending any remaining points in the other trees. Every point passes the same row-gate and prerequisite checks as the calculator. The result is a reproducible starting route, not a tier-list or simulation result.
Leveling route: levels 10–20 (points 1–11)
This opening band contains the first legal picks the deterministic scorer selects. Reordering within the same row is possible only when the resulting point sequence still satisfies every prerequisite.
| Order | Level | Talent | Ranks | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 10 | Benediction | 5/5 (5 pts) | Reduces the Mana cost of all instant cast spells and abilities by 10%. |
| 6 | 15 | Conviction | 3/3 (3 pts) | Improves your chance to get a critical strike with all spells and attacks by 6%. |
| 9 | 18 | Improved Judgement | 2/2 (2 pts) | Decreases the cooldown of your Judgement ability by 2 sec. |
| 11 | 20 | Seal of Command | 1/1 (1 pt) | Gives the Paladin a chance to deal additional Holy damage equal to 70% of normal weapon damage. Only one Seal can be active on the Paladin at any one time. Lasts 30 sec. Unleashing this Seal's energy will judge an enemy, instantly causing 46.5 to 50.5 Holy damage, 93 to 101 if the target is stunned or incapacitated. |
Leveling route: levels 20–40 (points 12–31)
This middle band spends the points that unlock deeper rows and the route’s multi-rank talents. The exact level shown is the level at which that point becomes available.
| Order | Level | Talent | Ranks | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 12 | 21 | Vindication | 3/3 (3 pts) | Gives your damaging melee attacks a chance to reduce the target's Attack Power by -6 for 30 sec. |
| 15 | 24 | Pursuit of Justice | 1/2 (1 pt) | Increases movement speed and mounted movement speed by 8%. This does not stack with other movement speed increasing effects. |
| 16 | 25 | Sacred Arbiter | 1/1 (1 pt) | Increases the damage of your Holy Strike ability by 20% and causes it to refresh all Judgement effects on the target. |
| 17 | 26 | Eye for an Eye | 2/2 (2 pts) | All critical strikes against you cause 10% of the damage taken to the attacker as well. The damage caused by Eye for an Eye will not exceed 50% of the Paladin's total health. |
| 19 | 28 | Two-Handed Weapon Specialization | 2/3 (2 pts) | Increases the Physical and Holy damage you deal by 4%, and reduces all threat you generate by 14% while a two-handed melee weapon is equipped. |
| 21 | 30 | Vengeance | 3/3 (3 pts) | Increases your Physical and Holy damage dealt by 3% for 30 sec after landing a non-periodic critical strike. Stacks up to 5 times. |
| 24 | 33 | Repentance | 1/1 (1 pt) | Puts the enemy target in a state of meditation, incapacitating them for up to 6 sec. Any damage caused will awaken the target. Only works against Humanoids. |
| 25 | 34 | Two-Handed Weapon Specialization | 3/3 (1 pt) | Increases the Physical and Holy damage you deal by 6%, and reduces all threat you generate by 20% while a two-handed melee weapon is equipped. |
| 26 | 35 | Champion of the Light | 5/5 (5 pts) | Increases your spell damage by up to 60% of your Intellect, and reduces the cast time of your Hammer of Wrath by 1 sec. |
| 31 | 40 | Pursuit of Justice | 2/2 (1 pt) | Increases movement speed and mounted movement speed by 15%. This does not stack with other movement speed increasing effects. |
Leveling route: levels 40–60 (points 32–51)
The final band finishes the primary tree, then assigns any remaining legal points. Those off-tree points are visible in the split above; they are not required for a different role or weapon plan.
| Order | Level | Talent | Ranks | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 32 | 41 | Sanctified Judgement | 3/3 (3 pts) | Gives your Judgement ability a 100% chance to return 60% of the Mana cost of the judged seal. |
| 35 | 44 | Unyielding Faith | 2/2 (2 pts) | Reduces the duration of Fear and Disorient effects on you by 30%. |
| 37 | 46 | Turn Evil | 2/2 (2 pts) | Reduces the cast time of your Turn Undead spell by 1 sec, its cooldown by 10 sec, and allows it to affect Demons. |
| 39 | 48 | Deflection | 5/5 (5 pts) | Increases your Parry chance by 5%. |
| 44 | 53 | Unsealed Wrath | 1/1 (1 pt) | Your melee attacks store a copy of your active Seal for 15 sec, stacking up to 3 times. Landing an attack with a different Seal consumes all stacks, giving the stored Seal its normal chance to activate once per stack. |
| 45 | 54 | Spiritual Focus | 5/5 (5 pts) | Gives your Flash of Light, Holy Light, and Light's Vigil spells a 70% chance to not lose casting time when you take damage. |
| 50 | 59 | Improved Seals | 2/5 (2 pts) | Increases the damage done by your Seals and Judgements by 6%. |
When to deviate from this Paladin leveling route
- Use Protection when you want the shield plan: Redoubt 5 gates Shield Specialization, and Holy Shield 1 gates Shieldsworn.
- Use Holy for healing and Holy Shock planning. Illumination needs Reverence 2, while Light’s Vigil needs Holy Shock 1.
- The route takes Two-Handed Weapon Specialization, whose effect only applies with a two-handed melee weapon. Reallocate those points if your weapon plan does not meet that requirement.
After changing a point, verify the result in the calculator. Removing a prerequisite can invalidate every dependent talent, and the 51-point budget leaves no room for a free substitution without removing another point.

Paladin leveling route FAQ
How is this Paladin leveling route validated?
Every one of the 51 points is generated against snapshot snap-4c0dd5427276 and checked by the same rules engine as the calculator: the 51-point budget, row gates, direct prerequisites and maximum ranks all pass. The official v9_ Build Code and the site share link are both produced from that validated allocation.
When does Paladin receive each talent point?
The first talent point arrives at level 10, and one more arrives per level through level 60. More than one point can be shown on a level row because every level grants a point; the table records both the point order and the character level.
When should I change this Retribution leveling route?
Use Protection when you want the shield plan: Redoubt 5 gates Shield Specialization, and Holy Shield 1 gates Shieldsworn. Use Holy for healing and Holy Shock planning. Illumination needs Reverence 2, while Light’s Vigil needs Holy Shock 1. The route takes Two-Handed Weapon Specialization, whose effect only applies with a two-handed melee weapon. Reallocate those points if your weapon plan does not meet that requirement. The route is a legal starting point, not a claim that it is the only useful allocation for every player.
